COVID-19 Update

During the COVID-19 pandemic, at Epicurean Group, our main concerns are the health and well-being of our employees, clients, and partners. As California continues its measured reopening, more of our client communities are starting to open their businesses and need our food management services.

We want all our partners and clients to know that our staff members have been trained and educated on new social-distancing dining practices. Our employees also observe the highest level of safety precautions to keep our partners, our clients, and themselves as safe as possible. These practices include preorder, prepay menus; various safe delivery models (such as directly to the classroom or to centralized areas); proper use of protective equipment such as a face covering and gloves; daily staff temperature checks; and increased sanitation on all surfaces and commonly used items.

We have also developed and adhere to a Safety Pledge that details the best practices and the methods that we’re using to keep our staff, clients, and partners safe during this unprecedented time. We will keep educating ourselves and our employees to safely serve our clients while still delivering the exceptional dining experience that our client communities expect.

We know that this extraordinary situation requires teamwork. We want to thank our clients, who have shown us tremendous support during these uncertain times. We also want to express our deep gratitude for the first responders who are working on the front lines and are risking their lives to keep us all safe and healthy. We are proud to say that we have donated meals to the San Rafael Police Department to actively show our appreciation. And we have supported our furloughed employees with health benefits through July, as we all look forward to reopening business safely in the months to come.

We know that many of our corporate and educational clients have come to view our staff as extended family and that many of our smaller catering clients have had great personal experiences with our services and staff. We also highly value our hardworking, dedicated staff, and we will continue to make every effort to keep them—and our clients and partners—safe, healthy, and thriving.
