Mary Clark Bartlett

CEO & FOUNDER

Mary loves heirloom crops, the Slow Food movement, and gets excited about fantastic food prepared the right way. Mary began her food service career in 1981 after having graduated from The California Hotel and Restaurant Management program in Santa Barbara, CA. She later attended The University of California, Santa Barbara, majoring in Business. She furthered advanced her business expertise in Applied Economics at the University of San Francisco and completed the Leadership Program at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business in 2002. Mary worked for one of the large food service companies, specializing in opening both Education and Corporate food service accounts. She managed over 20M in education and corporate accounts before finally settling in the Bay Area. She believes that good people and good food make the difference in food service. She is involved with every Epicurean Group account, and she enjoys being personally engaged with each and every client. “We are independently owned, giving us the freedom to make the right choices!”

In her spare time, Mary enjoys ballroom dancing, rose gardening, and traveling abroad to research the latest food trends.

Marvin

Marvin Rodriguez

CFO & Co-Founder

Marvin knows great food brings people together and teams collaborate best around a shared meal. He believes that by providing complete transparency with our clients, we foster a relationship of trust. Marvin began his career in foodservice in 1982 with a small catering company based in San Francisco. He moved up from service to operations management, and, applying his degree in Engineering, Chemistry, and Business, he moved to the financial side of food. He works with enthusiasm and rigor to fulfill his customers’ needs, and provide the detail and data each client deserves. As a native San Franciscan, Marvin appreciates the coast, the beach and the history of the area. At home, he enjoys creating gluten-free meals for his family.

Rey loves the fact that we are gradually reverting back to the ways in which our grandparents ate – more fresh food, home prepared from local ingredients. Rey graduated with honors from the California Culinary Academy and has been a vital part of the food industry since, specifically in corporate, university, and sports dining. Rey’s vast experience and exceptional management skills have taken him to such places as the US Virgin Islands where he was Executive Chef at world renowned hotels and resorts in the Caribbean. Rey is recognized for his work with Epicurean in supporting the environment, sustainability, and providing happy and healthy food to our guests, families, and friends. Rey uses his operational experience and focuses on our people, processes, and procedures. Rey and his wife enjoy getting out in the local food scene, trying new cuisines and cheering on the San Francisco Giants.
