School is starting and that means folks are busy and hungry! Cool, fast and refreshing smoothies may be a solution – that perfect blend of fresh flavors and liquid fuel. From tropical fruits to leafy greens, the combinations are endless, making it easy to tailor creations to personal tastes and nutritional needs.

These smoothie recipes have been voted “most popular” among the schools Epicurean Group serves. Which is YOUR favorite?

Strawberry Fields                       Makes 2 smoothies

  • 1 ½ cups strawberries
  • ¾ cup fresh banana
  • 9 oz vanilla frozen yoghurt
  • 2 cups apple juice (more as needed)

Berry Banana                              Makes 2 smoothies

  • 1/3 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup banana
  • 6 oz vanilla frozen yoghurt
  • 6 oz. raspberry sherbert
  • 2 cups apple juice

Orangescicle                    Makes 2 smoothies

  • 9 oz. orange sherbet
  • 9 oz. vanilla frozen yoghurt
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • ½ cup soy milk

 

For all three smoothies – place ingredients in a blender and process until smooth.
