Filoli has recently teamed with Epicurean Group to transform the culinary experience of guests with a redesign of their food program and onsite Quail Café. Visitors can look forward to fresh food prepared on-site, more pop-up beverages and snack service in the Garden to grab and go, and special events that offer gourmet experiences.

“We are so excited to bring a new partner in to enhance the experience at Filoli,” says CEO Kara Newport. “Epicurean Group will be a key part of any visit to Filoli with their role in the Quail Café and we also look forward to creating new exclusive dining experiences together.”

Epicurean Group’s vision at Filoli will be executed in stages throughout 2023, starting with a remodel of the restaurant (both front and back of the house). A tasting lounge will also be added; enjoy cocktail seating at weekend celebrations and special events such as Filoli’s popular Summer Nights series (come Thursday for happy hour) and annual Holiday Cheer (a month-long festival of decorations, lights, and delicious seasonal treats).

As always, sustainability is at the very heart and core of our values. Like Filoli, Epicurean Group is committed to managing, measuring, and improving sustainable practices within our food service production, supply chain, and partnerships. This will include the use of Winnow, a state-of-the-art AI technology that visually recognizes, weighs, and determines the value of food waste and reduces environmental impact. Also featured in the café will be custom-labeled Path Water bottles allowing guests to reduce single-use plastic.
